D-X cooling liquid chillers

This type D-X cooler is used on packaged piston liquid coolers. As with direct expansion evaporator, the refrigerant leaves the cooler gas. As with air cooling evaporator, the refrigerant is inside the evaporator tubes, or "tubeside," while at cooling liquid (water or brine, in this case) is on the street, or "shellside."

The coil in this D-X cooler is an enhanced-tube evaporator, because it is immersed in water or in brine up and down the length of the roll. In two equal connection of pipes into the side of the chassis for the water pipes. Liquid refrigerant lines, with a metering device, connected to a small refrigerant connection, while the suction line is connected to big.
