Open piston compressors with a shaft seal and external drive motor suitable for a range of tractors are also available up to 2 MW debt (e.g. compressor condensing unit shown in Fig. 3.6b). In these compressors, crankshafts, which looks in combination with electric motors, to expand with the help of the compressor housing. Seals should be used where shafts come through the compressor housings to prevent refrigerant gas leakage or air leakage (with crankcase pressure below atmospheric pressure).
