Technical information Air-Conditioning COMFORT CONDITIONS

COMFORTABLE CONDITIONS

Surface temperature the average adult skin 80 degrees f (26.7 degrees C). The body can either gain or lose energy in accordance with the ambient air. If the surrounding air is hotter than the skin temperature, the body gets warm and the person can become uncomfortable. If the surrounding air is colder than the temperature of the skin, then the body loses heat. Again, a man may become uncomfortable. If the temperature is much higher than the temperature of the skin or much cooler than the temperature of the body, the person becomes uncomfortable. If the air around 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21.1 degrees C), the body feels comfortable. Skin temperature varies depending on the temperature on the surface of the earth. The overall range of skin temperature from 40 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit (4.4 40.6 degrees C). However, if the temperature increases by 10 degrees F (5.5 degrees C), skin temperature increases only 3 degrees F (1.7 C).

Most of the time, a normal body temperature varies from 75 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit (23.9 to 37.8 degrees).

As humidity and temperature affect the comfort of the human body. However, they are not the only factors that cause a person to be comfortable or not. In heating or cooling, air speed, noise and temperature fluctuations caused by the treated air should also be considered. When check comfort room, it is best to measure the velocity of the air at a distance of 4 to 72 cm from the floor. Speed is measured with a velometer. Below is a range of speeds of the air and their characteristics:

Slower than 15 feet per minute (fpm): stagnant air 20 50 fpm fpm: acceptable air velocities 25 fpm 35 fpm: the best choice for human comfort 35 50 fpm fpm: convenient for cooling purposes Speed of 50 fpm or above the call at a very high speed of air entering the room. Speed of around 750 fpm or more, are required to create a speed of 50 fpm or more indoors. At a speed of more than 750 fpm is entered, the noise will also be present.

Sitting and standing levels must be considered when designing a cooling system for the room. People will tolerate a cool temperature at the ankle level than on a flat surface, which is about 30 cm from the floor. Variations of 4 degrees F (2.2 C) permissible between levels. It is also acceptable level of temperature fluctuations between the rooms. To make sure that the air is properly distributed for comfort, you need to look at the methods used to complete the job.
