Special Thermostatic Valves

Many different thermostatic expansion valve designs are available. One type uses a separate six refrigerant circuit distributor is connected to the expansion valve. Cm. Fig. 5-34.

This design is used to reduce the pressure in the large evaporator. It provides multiple parallel paths of refrigerant through the evaporator. It is popular for air conditioning. Thorough consideration, because every tube should receive equal amount of refrigerant.

The scheme of special thermostatic expansion valve is shown in Fig. 5-35. It provides multiple connections to the evaporator. Fig. 5-36 shows distributor used on large capacity evaporators.
