Absorber Construction

In the two-shell absorption chiller, evaporator and absorber split one large steel cylinder, split lengthwise vertical steel plate. Height separator sheet approximately % of the diameter of the cylinder. This design upper side of leaves ofthe evaporator open at the top of the absorber. This open-ing provides passage for the refrigerant vapor without appreciable pressure loss through the restriction. Similarly, generator, condenser and share anodier cylinder, which is divided horizontally with inclined sheet steel. The lower half of the sheet separation of the solid and the top half is a perforated plate. Capacitor is located in the upper part of the cylinder. As a refrigerant vapour expelled from a weak solution of the heat source, moves through the perforated plate and, where any absorbent droplets are separated from the vapor and returned to decision Carter gravity. Refrigerant vapours condense on the tube sheets, reducing die vapour pressure, to maintain the flow through the perforated sheet. The condensed refrigerant pool at the bottom of the inclined steel and sent to the evaporator.

Other designs absorber use a single steel cylinder share with steel plates to die evaporator and absorber occupy the lower two-thirds die cylinder.

Tlie spacer generator, condenser and occupy die upper third of the cylinder. Absorber occupies the lower part of the cylinder. Evaporator pan is above the absorber spray. The refrigerant is sprayed over the process water tube sheet and the liquid evaporates collects the pot. Pump draws the refrigerant from the pan and delivers it to spray in the evaporator. Refrigerant returning from the condenser passes through reducing hole and mixed with a solution of the nozzle outlet before collecting in a saucepan. In a weak solution to die from the shock absorber enters the generator as a source of heat drives off the refrigerant. The refrigerant vapor migrates into the condenser, where the cooling water from the tower absorbs the latent heat of phase transition. A strong solution returns to the absorber after passing through the heat exchanger.

Several pumps are designed for fluid solution through injectors in the car. In some designs of each pump impeller rotates on its own induction motor. In other constructions of all pump impellers are the key to a common shaft and driven by one asynchronous motor. As described earlier, one pump is used for spraying liquid refrigerant through the tubes with chilled water. Other pump is used for spraying of a strong solution for heat exchanging tubes and through reuigerant pair to improve absorption. The third pump is used for the transmission of a weak solution of collecting at the bottom of the absorber to the generator.
