Crankcase Pressure-Regulating Valve Location

As Shown In Fig. 11-27 indicates CRO valve is used in suction line between the evaporator and the compressor. As a rule, the CRO must be installed below the other elements, or accessories. However, for some applications it may be appropriate or necessary to find other system components such as the battery, downstream of the CRO. This is satisfactory, while the CRO valve is used only as a CRO valve. CRO valves are used in suction line. They should not be applied in the hot gas bypass line or any other refrigerant lines from the system.
