Liquid refrigerant pump - Pump for liquid ammonia

Technical information Controls and Other Circuit Components Liquid refrigerant pumps

The liquid refrigerant pumps

Where individual evaporators used in low-temperature coldrooms, and shock freezing, for example, liquid pumps can be used for the circulation of the refrigerant from the suction separator (or " one size fits all"), through the evaporator(s) and back. In the separator, the remaining liquid returns and recycling, and the steam enters the compressor (see Fig. 9.14). Liquid pumps are also used for spraying chillers. Liquid pump shown in Fig. 9.15 has strainer at the inlet and the second nets to prevent penetration of particles into the holes of the shaft, which feed liquid bearings. These pumps are mainly used for ammonia systems, and are also supplied for CO2.
