One Effect Absorption chillers about 8C have an efficiency of about 0.5 to 0.6, EER is about 2.1 and Specific steam Consumption is about 8.75 kg/hour/TR, on the vapour pressure of 3 bar or below.

Double-Effect Absorption chillers about 8with the COP in the range from 1 to 1.2, EER in the range of 3.5-4 Btu/hr/W and Specific Steam Consumption in the range of 4.5-5.25 kg/hour/TR, vapor pressure from 8 to 8.5 bar. In the case of shot straight double-effect absorption chillers, the specific Fuel Consumption is likely to be about 0.35 m3/h/TR natural gas, or approximately 0.30 kg/h/TR fuel oil.

Triple-Effect Absorption chillers are implemented cooling international majors and told the COP of 1.6 i.e. EER more than 5. The steam consumption is likely to be about 2.3 kg/hour/TR...
