Hypothermia

Sub-cooling of the liquid refrigerant before expansion valve reduces the flash gas and improves the performance of the evaporator. Hypothermia can be achieved by providing more heat transfer area in the condenser or the provision of compressor suction gas, liquid refrigerant heat exchanger. In the case of flooded evaporators, recipient location in a cool place can help achieve some free hypothermia. Hypothermia is sometimes provided by the in-pipe " cooler with the help of the compressor suction gas. The COP may rise by 5% t 10% of hypothermia...
