Accurate Measurement and Control of Temperature
Most vapour compression machines to use overheat sensing expansion valves, which does not allow for precise temperature control, especially when the compressor is operating at part load, which leads to large fluctuations in temperature. When the refrigeration system's cooling capacity is much greater than the actual load on the cooling system, the expansion valve control based on overheat sensing often leads to super-cooling, resulting in energy penalty due to low temperature, as well as reduce the COP at lower temperatures.
This can be avoided by using electronic expansion valves, which modulating valves, which are based on electronic sensing the end temperature.
In Mumbai, the company invented a temperature controller that senses the temperature of the return air/water/brine and superheat control of the expansion valve by heating or cooling, as necessary, to give a very accurate temperature control. The controller can be useful when upgrading existing system overheating sensing i.e., with a break existing expansion valve control system. This technology is already commercialized. Some industries and commercial buildings reported energy savings, along with good temperature control in the range of +/-1C. see case study...
