Evaporator Control

Although the cooling capacity, as a rule, "swim with the load," there are limits beyond which problems can occur. As pressure continues to fall, saturation, temperature and pressure in the evaporator continues to fall. Below approximately 28F saturated refrigerant temperature, ice begins to build on surface air cooling rolls and fresh water coolers. This is usually undesirable, except for ice storage systems. Capacity control measures are required at this point. Several small systems 5 tons and less simple cycle compressor off when cooling load drops too low. Larger and more complex systems, particularly those used in commercial applications that can have multiple boot options, use a variety of compressor capacity control schemes to meet the load on the evaporator.

The capacitance of management, also called "head pressure," is also used on many large systems, as well as a small residential systems. Evaporator on a large system that is controlled by the use of a liquid dosing device, called a "TRV." This valve controls the flow of the liquid in the evaporator when determining the flue gas temperature.

Modular evaporators are used for air cooling evaporators and water coolers. This mechanism allows single or multiple evaporators modules be cut off from the flow of refrigerant when using liquid line solenoid valves.

Automatic problem in the evaporator is likely to result in the final compressor failure. If the technician replaces the compressor without revealing and elimination of the main cause of the compressor will bring.

Repeat compressor failures are serious problems in the field of air-conditioning. They lead to unhappy consumers, as well as large, unnecessary costs on labor and parts dealers and manufacturers.
