Technical information Refrigeration Water Source Heat Pumps

Water Source Heat Pumps

Heat pumps, which absorb the heat from the water during the heating season, and move, heat the air in the room called a water source or water-to-air heat pumps. They are called "Source of Water"because water is the source of heat. They are also called "Water-Air", as they absorb heat from the water and reject it to the air.

Water source heat pump becoming more popular. They are available in various styles that mount in the room and not in need of duct. Channel blocks that go above the ceiling or in the control room or closet, are also available.

Each zone of the control has one water source heat pump, with its full cooling system to control it. The size of the zone may differ from 1/2 ton capacity up to 20 tons.

Water is supplied for each water source heat pump from the water supply system, which circulates throughout the building. If the zone requires cooling, water source heat pump rejects heat and water supply systems.

If the area needs heating, heat pump takes heat from the water system. Many commercial buildings have a substantial domestic or core area without any perimeter of the exposition. When the building is in use, these places never lose heat on the street and, respectively, year-round cooling needs. They receive heat from the light, people and operation of the equipment in them. In the cold time of the year in the open air, in the water source heat pump system can move heat away from the main areas where it is not needed for perimeter areas, where required. Heat denied water to water heat pumps in the core zones of (in cooling mode), restored the perimeter zones to absorb in heating mode. This saves energy when compared with other methods of control zone, which throw core heat, that heat is the perimeter of the equipment. The diagram shows a simple view of the aqueduct loop" with the boiler and cooling tower needed to maintain the desired temperature of the water. Two perimeter of the square heat pumps shows how one in the main part of the building. Other heat pumps may be necessary, were not brought to save the image, simply.
