Split-systems

Split-systems are used in residential and commercial jobs. Easy way to split a system of two lines refrigerant con-necting the two sections of the equipment; small diameter of the liquid line and larger diameter isolated suction line. Hot gas line is completely within the condensing unit. Compressor and condenser are located in the condensing unit, while the evaporator and metering device come in second, complete devices. Service valves are usually provided at the point where the refrigeration piping connectsto in the condensing unit. Vacuum gauge can be done at this point to run, test and maintenance refrigerant side of the system.

The vast majority of residential condensing units use air-cooled condenser. They range from 1 up to 5 tons and may be designed for horizontal air discharge or, as shown here, vertical exhaust. Some manufacturers offer a style that can be deselected on the outer wall of the building. Split system heat pumps for residential applications use air-cooled outdoor units, which are almost identical with air cooled condensing unit is used in the cooling system.

Condensing or outdoor unit includes compressor and condenser.

Heat pump version will also contain the spool and battery.

Water-cooled condensing units are used on commercial work from 5 up to 250 tons. The compressor, the condenser and the control panel is installed in a technical room or appropriate storage area of the building. Heat from the condenser is sent through the water to the ground or on the roof of a cooling tower, which rejects heat from the outside air.

Residential and commercial evaporator units take different forms. The evaporator is designed in addition to condensing units issued by companies that sell both parts of the system. Coil, with a metering device may be sold by itself, built in your body, or be included in a small unit called "fan-coil."

Here coil is installed in the residence at the top of the furnace. In condensing units on the street. This happens quite often, when the Central air-conditioning, combined with the heating system. In this particular case, the air from the furnace rises up through the coil, the upwards flow arrangement. Coils are available for installation in a horizontal position in the attic crawl space, or ceiling. Many packaged fan coils are designed for horizontal and vertical installation.
