Rotary compressors

Rotary compressors typically follow one of two approaches to the design. One type uses a movable piston, while others use a sliding vanes. In the first type, movable piston mounted off-center on the shaft of the compressor and rotates inside the cylinder. Drive shaft in the center of the cylinder. In sliding vane mounted in the casing of the compressor should be round of rolling motion of the piston, and acts as a separator between the low side (intake) and the high side (discharge) of the cylinder. As the shaft rotates, gas taken from the evaporator in the compressor suction and in the low-pressure side of the cylinder. Meanwhile, gas on the high side of the cylinder is compressed and sent over the discharge side of the compressor.

In a plate-style rotary compressor centers piston, or rotor, the shaft of the compressor, but the drive shaft is installed in off-center in the cylinder. Several sliding vanes are mounted on the rotor and follow the shape of a cylinder. These blades trap suction gas chambers which have different pressure. As the rotor turns, the gas is compressed came in considerably smaller chamber. A new, low-pressure gas absorbed and gas of high pressure reset at the same time.
