Technical information Air-Conditioning Room Air Conditioners

Room Air Conditioners

Window or through the wall air conditioners are used for cooling of premises consist of three basic parts:
  • Hermetic compressor.
  • Capacitor.
  • Evaporator with capillary tube refrigerant control.
Schematic diagram is shown in Fig. 20-14. Dark red indicates a high pressure liquid refrigerant and dark blue, low pressure liquid refrigerant. Light blue indicates low vapour pressure and light-red, high pressure steam. The liquid refrigerant collects in the bottom of the condenser coils. It flows through the capillary tube refrigerant management in the evaporator. When the device is in operation, the evaporator under low pressure. The liquid refrigerant rapidly boiling and takes the heat from the surface of the evaporator fan with the engine drawls air inside the room, and pulls it through the filter. Fan forces air through the evaporator. Here, the air is cooled and returned to the room. The arrows in Fig. 20-14 show of air flows.

Low vapor pressure taken from the evaporator through the suction line back to the compressor.

Low to high pressure side, the vapor is then bundled into the condenser. There he cools and condenses into a liquid. And the cycle begins again. Adjustable thermostat, installed on the control panel provides the necessary control. The thermostat has a switch.

Compressor and condenser are located in the composition of the subdivision, projects outside the building. The compressor, the fan compartment draws in air. Fan circulates air through the condenser, and throws it out. The air passing through the evaporator (inside the refrigerated premises) is cooled and, to some extent, drainage, Moisture that collects on the evaporator wastewater pallets. In some machines, it flows into the pan in the compressor compartment. As the moisture evaporates, it helps for cooling compressor and condenser.
