Technical information Industrial Single Screw Compressors

Single Screw Compressors

Single-screw compressors are also available. They consist of a single screw and two gaterotors. Screw six groove became a member of aluminum with protective coating. In gaterotors 11 teeth and are made of reinforced plastic composite. The material selected for gaterotors is self-lubricating and compliant, bridging the gap, as a rule, are between moving parts. This leads to a zero-clearance characteristics between gaterotors and screw that allows the use of liquid refrigerant as seals, lubrication and cooling agent. The liquid refrigerant performs better than oil in these functions, producing less resistance to die on the screw so diat the overall efficiency of the compressor has improved over the two-rotor design. In addition, the liquid refrigerant to get excited and steam injection performs desu-perheating function, which usually happens at the first stage of the capacitor, making condenser more effective. In addition, given that oil is not used for sealing, lubricating or cooling compressor, an elaborate system of oil pumps, separators, septic tanks and coolers is unnecessary.

In one screw operations, vapor flows in all available slots.

As the screw rotates, gatero-tor teeth enter and print die grooves from the reception chamber. Steam is trapped in die volume created by the three sides of the groove of the rotor surface of the die gaterotor toodi and the surrounding wall of the cylinder. Volume within each slot rotor decreases as the screw rotates with the compression process, lasting until the front edge of the groove transforms the past to the port of discharge, located in the wall of the cylinder. As soon as the pair is die port of discharge, compression cycle ends. The pair continues to flow through the port of discharge the discharge pressure until gaterotor reduces the groove volume down to zero.

There may be one or two gaterotors in one screw compressor. In two gaterotor structures, die rotors are located on opposite sides of the screw. Since compression occurs simultaneously on both sides of the screw, radial load is balanced. Two gaterotors also create equal but opposite suction pressure on both ends of the screw so dirust load is negligible. These characteristics virtually eliminate bearing wear. Double gaterotors also indicate that die the compression process takes place twice, and each turn of the screw, the doubling die compression unit capacity. The combination of the six screw chambers and 11 gaterotor teeth also smooths reset flow through the development of small oscillations on higher frequency. Pulsations generated by each gaterotor also defined to exclude pure tones (frequency), reduce vibration and noise.

These characteristics, combined widi lack of oil injection, as a result of a significant decrease in noise and vibration transmitted through a piping system. Separation die suction and discharge places, cylinder blocks significantly reduces heat transfer between die suction and discharge vapors, increasing the volumetric efficiency. Volumetric efficiency compressor improved due to the lack of expansion because there is no gap in the volume required for this type of compression. Slide valves capacity are also available in the single screw compressor designs adjust power to match the load...
