Repair Clogged TEV Screens

Remove the expansion valve, having scored screen means the removal of both liquid and refrigerant vapour of the lines will be opened. Liquid line may be the care of the hilly heated heat lamp. This causes the liquid refrigerant back to the nearest stop valve. This valve is closed. Evaporator already evacuated (indicated warm evaporator). Valve on suction line may be closed if the low-pressure side is at atmospheric pressure or above. Hie screen can be removed after drying and cleaning compounds.

Clean the screen or replace a new one. This is important. Mezzanine copper or stainless steel screens are good for cleaning of air pressure and safe solvent. However, the best way Is by heating. It must be very carefully done or the screen will be burned. Never let expansion valve into operation without the screen in the liquid line input.

Install the screen, collect TEV, and install it in the system. Then evacuate the air and test for leaks. Return evaporator for normal operation of the opening of the liquid line and suction valves..
