Technical information Industrial Installing Air-Cooled Condensers

Installation Of Air-Cooled Condensers

Always protect the capacitor plates and condenser tubes, including return bends. Connect the condenser securely in its frame. Install as level as possible. Connect the condenser, compressor and receiver, if it is used. Glare connectors must be carefully aligned. Fittings shall be so adjusted as they are not under stress or forced in any case. Fittings may be out of line or unconnections should also be carefully aligned to soldering.

The surface to be soldered must be cleaned. Just before assembling of the joint, the use of pure wool steel wire brush or dry sandpaper. The thread should be put on the outside of the male part of the installation. The joint should be maintained during the operation of soldering. Use metal plates in order to protect other parts of the unit from the soldering.

Air condenser can be purged. Use a small amount of refrigerant in the system of carbon and nitrogen dioxide or dry. Increase pressure up to 15 pounds per square inch (30 psi or 207 kPa) in the condenser and leak testing.

If the leak is found, do not attempt to fix the leak. Instead, take joint totally distracted and test again. If no leaks are found, increase the pressure of about 100 psi up to 170 pounds per square inch (115 psia 185 psia or 794 PA 1277 kPa) and tightness tests again.

If no leaks are found, install fans, belts, motors, necessary for the functioning of the system. All these parts must be cleaned prior to Assembly. Launch of the system. Release the fan, belts and pulleys, as they can cause serious injuries. Checking of the refrigerant charge and operadon device. Leak testing again. (Shut-off device to stop the flow of air.) If the device has no leaks, install the cover or case. These parts must be securely fixed, or annoying rattles and inefficient airflow may result.
