Technical information Industrial Adding Oil to the System

Add Oil in System

The correct amount of oil in the system is very important. Lack of oil reduces the life of the mechanism, an increase of friction and cause noise. Overstatement of the rates will cause the compressor, pump excessive amounts of oil. This will reduce refrigerant charge pump output. He will also subject the valves of the compressor and high load.

Refrigerant oils are available in several viscosity ratings ease of currents at different temperatures). Be sure to follow the manufacturer viscosity recommendations. At the service, add oil if there are signs of oil leakage. This is rarely necessary to add oil to the sealing system. However, refrigerant leakage always carries some oil. This lost oil should be replaced. If a sealed unit, fully equipped rooms valves, oil can be added using the normal method. That is, the oil can be siphoned or poured century

If the system was low side of leaks, moisture and air, perhaps, have been introduced. In this case, it is best to change the oil in the compressor. To measure the number of take off and replace it with the same amount of clean, dry oil.

Cm. Chapter 15. The device must be charged in the same way as adding refrigerant in the system.

Fig. 12-68 illustrates the practical transparent charging cylinder with a chart for the exact measurement, It measures the amount of refrigerant or oil charged in the system volume. This method provides greater accuracy. Use a friendly tone. Cleaning of overhead lines with a pure refrigerant.

There are several ways to connect a transparent charging cylinder system. Fig. 12-68 shows the handset is connected directly to the underside. Here, the connection of the sensor and process tube adapter are used. The process of brazed tube suction line. Fig. 12-69 shows a method with the help of vacuum pump and manifold for evacuation for repair procedures.

The pump can be used to put oil in the system. Charging line must be cleaned to remove air, moisture and dirt. This hand pump can build up pressure over 300 psi (315 psia or 2200 kPa). Oil can be forced into the system even when the system is under pressure.

Using the same service-line technique, add oil, as shown in Fig. 12-71. The correct amount of oil, put at the service of the cylinder. A small amount of refrigerant (of the same type used in the system) is put in the cylinder. This creates pressure. Cylinder inverted. It is connected with the cylinder valve to valve attachment with clean lines. Make sure that the tank pressure is higher than the pressure in the system. Then open the cylinder valve and the valve. Oil will be forced to log in.
