Technical information Industrial Solenoid

Solenoid

Coil wound on nonmagnetic substances (paper or plastic), made to carry a current of electricity, will be a magnet. Cm. Figure 6-46A, However, the magnetic effect will not be as great as if the iron core wrere placed inside the coil. This is illustrated in Fig. 6-46B.

If the solenoid is fitted with a sliding iron core and coil transfer the current electricity, soft iron core will be drawn to the fullest. This is shown in Fig. 6-46C. Coil, as they are known as the electromagnets.

Solenoids are used in many places in the refrigeration and air conditioning work, They are used to open and close the valves. They work as shock absorbers and to realize other necessary movement in the mechanism.

The solenoid can be used on either AC or DC. The magnetic lines of force, as a rule, to be as short as possible in any case.
