Expansion devices

With the purpose of expansion device to reduce the pressure liquid refrigerant after the condenser so that evaporation can take place. Some types of expansion valve also control the flow of liquid refrigerant in the evaporator to:

differ system capacity to meet demand;
prevent liquid refrigerant from the evaporator and to the compressor damage.

Proper selection and installation of the device are very important. If it is not correct management, efficiency and reliability of the system will be reduced. There are four types of expansion device is widely used in commercial and industrial refrigeration plants:

capillaries (small systems) and diaphragm;
thermostatic, electronic or balanced port expansion valves;
valves (high and low side);
the side of the expansion valve and sensor level.
