Water valves
Manually operated valves installed on the water circuits associated with refrigeration systemsРІР‚or towers or in secondary brine circuits. They are installed for the convenience of service and flexibility in operating conditions. These valves allow recircuit, bypass or disable flow of water as necessary (see Fig. 11-54). These manually operated shut-off or flow control valves are available in a variety of styles and sizes. Valve stems and body places carefully processed to close tolerances, providing easy and positive shutoff. They are made of nonporous cast bronze. There are three main types (see Fig. 11-54):
