Cooling System Conditions

The following terms apply to the cooling tower system.

Refrigeration range is the number of degrees Fahrenheit, through which water is cooled in the tower. This is the difference between the temperature of the hot water at the entrance to the tower and cold water temperature at the outlet of the tower.

Approach the difference in degrees Fahrenheit between the temperature of the cold water outlet of the cooling tower and the wet-bulb temperature of the surrounding air.
