Spiral Compressors

Scroll compressor (Fig. 9-80), used by the industry in response to the need to improve air conditioning equipment. This is done to satisfy the U.S. Department of Energy Standards 1992. These standards apply to all air conditioners. All equipment should have a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) of 10 and above. The higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Scroll compressor seems to be the answer to more efficient operation of the compressor.
