Technical information Refrigerants Atmospheric Pressure

Atmospheric Pressure

The layer of air surrounding the earth for a few miles in depth. The weight of the air above the pressure in all directions. This pressure is called the atmospheric pressure. Parameter sea level air pressure is 14.7 psi, which converts 1.013 G 105 N/m2.

The instrument used to measure atmospheric pressure, is called a barometer. Two common barometers is the aneroid barometer and mercury barometer. The aneroid barometer of the hermetic chamber containing a partial vacuum. The atmospheric pressure grows, the chamber is compressed cause the needle to move. The atmospheric pressure decreases, trade expands, causing the needle to move in a different direction. Adial the meter is calibrated to indicate the correct pressure.

Mercury barometer has a glass tube about 34. for a long time. The tube has a column of mercury. The height of this column reflects the atmospheric pressure. Standard atmospheric pressure at sea level, specified 29.92. Mercury, which converts 759.96 mm
