R410A
This fluid looks complex at first glance, because of its low theoretical performance (as shown in Fig. 3.2), low critical temperature and high-pressure. Nevertheless, the party of refrigerant heat transfer is about 35% higher than that of R22, while for R407C and R134a it poorer. Pressure drop in equivalent effect heat exchangers this is 30% less. Studies have shown that systems optimized for R410A can provide up to 5% better system COP than R22 equivalent systems, while R407C systems, typically about 5% poorer. Many air conditioning providers are switching to R410A, especially for direct expansion type systems, in which an additional advantage is that less dimensions of pipes can be used.
